MANTRIC Putting Finishing Touches On Debut Album
October 26, 2008MANTRIC, the new band featuring former members of the Norwegian progressive thrash/death metal act EXTOL, are putting the finishing touches on their debut album. The CD will be mixed by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios in Denmark and will feature a musical direction that is described in a press release as "a natural evolution from EXTOL's last album, 'The Blueprint Dives', yet more aggressive and dirty." Kim Akerholdt, who has previously played with the Norwegian punk rock act SILVER, is handling the drum duties and the vocals are being taken care of by guitarists Tor Magne Glidje and Ole Halvard Sveen, who have both spent time playing with LENGSEL and BENEA REACH in addition to their history with EXTOL.
MANTRIC is currently unsigned but claims to have "a running dialogue" with several interested labels.
